Founded in 1936, SNG Collins Barrow is a highly respected chartered accountancy firm located in Montreal, providing a wide range of audit, accounting, tax and business advisory services to clients.
The founding partner, Maurice Sorkin, began with a very modest practice, and was subsequently joined by Jack Richer. As Sorkin & Richer, the firm grew steadily and moved to its present location on René-Lévesque Boulevard in 1972.
In 1986 the founding partners retired, and in 1988 the firm's name was changed to Schlesinger Newman Goldman (SNG).
The firm, which was always very tax oriented, established a dedicated tax department in 1988, which has continually grown and expanded its services. It is now recognized for its excellence in the professional community, as well as in the community at large.
In 2000 we joined Collins Barrow, a prestigious national group of accounting firms, with affiliated offices throughout the world.
Worldwide, Collins Barrow is represented by Baker Tilly International, the 8th largest accountancy and business advisory network in the world. It is very comforting to know that a client will receive a warm welcome in most areas of the world, simply with an introductory phone call from our firm.
In July 2007 Schlesinger Newman Goldman changed its name to SNG Collins Barrow.

Over the years, we have never veered from our commitment to provide clients with an unmatched level of service and professionalism. While SNG Collins Barrow will continue to evolve in response to the demands of the marketplace, growth will never take place at the expense of the values which have allowed the firm to flourish since 1936.
