An enterprise has multiple stakeholders - investors, customers, employees, service providers amongst others. The accomplishment of each stakeholder's goals is a direct function of the enterprise's effectiveness. Enterprise effectiveness is dependent on how effective its governance is.
It is Collins Barrow's desire and intention to push the envelope to take governance beyond the board room as a tool for enterprise effectiveness.
The goal of Collins Barrow's Centre for Effective Governance is to provide thought leadership in every facet of governance - from the highest levels attained in the boardroom to how these principles are reflected throughout the enterprise.
A chain is as strong as its weakest link. Identifying these weak links and strengthening them is the key. At the Centre we would like to educate (be a reliable knowledge source), equip (make skills and tools available) and empower (facilitate effective implementation of knowledge, skills and tools) our members to identify and remediate these weak links across the enterprise before they break the chain.
Drawing upon their experience and expertise, the advisory team at the Centre for Effective Governance comprises of academics from various specialties, practitioners from various fields and business leaders who serve in leadership positions including as members of Boards.
If you would like to contribute and benefit from the Centre's knowledge pool, please register yourself as a member. There is no cost to register.
